well that wasn't what it looked like in the beginning... Kind of bitter sweet to watch them win these games... love seeing them win good games but i can't help but think it will just continue the sustained mediocrity come end of/post season...

Hoorah for being Minnesota sports fans...

Good game for your guys. That goalie made the big saves that kept you in. And that damn rolling puck empty netter that kept it from being a possible thriller at the end.

Congrats on the Wild getting back up into their bubble position. They OWN that spot, sometimes just making the playoffs and getting bounced in the first round, sometimes just missing the playoffs, but always a mediocre draft position.

I think TB is going to go postal soon with the way the Wild keep winning. Parise has looked twice as fast as he did to begin the season. And I wan to give props to former UMD Bulldog captain, Carson Soucy. I never really expected his game to be up to par for the NHL, but he is proving me wrong. It's nice to see him stepping up his game since he is up with the big club. I just hope that it is something that he can continue for a good career. Kind of think of him as a cross between Clayton Stoner and Nick Schultz. More upside than Stoner but less of a ceiling than Schultz. He could be a pretty good 3rd pairing defender for many years.

And I am really starting to see why people love Zuccarello. He does seem to see the game a little different than a lot of players and he seems to work his arse off. It's good for the youngsters like Fiala, Greenway, Kunin (and even JEE) to see vets like Parise and Zuccarello and how hard they work shift in and shift out. I think it has already rubbed off on Kunin.

And good for Kaapo, but I am still not completely sold on him as the goalie for the future. The Kitties showed his glaring weakness in being a smallish goalie in the fact that he plays kind of deep in his crease and drops quickly. That leaves a LOT of space up high (especially over his blocker side shoulder) which is where a lot of snipers tend to shoot.

Forgot to add this little snipet...Kevin Fiala has already become the greatest Fiala with the Wild. Does anyone remember Ondrej Fiala? Wild drafted him in the 2nd Rd of the 2006 draft, the same draft that gave the Wild James Sheppard and Cal Buttercup. Ondrej never made it to the Wild, as he played a couple more season in the WHL, then never left Europe again.
